Biotechnology in the World
Biotechnology is a very important part of scientific research these days and many discoveries and innovations have been made in the field in various labs around the world and in universities. One such innovation took place in Manchester England and this innovation involved the discovery of a way to make the perfect drug combinations. The field of biotechnology in universities like this one has a range of applications when it comes to medication. The researchers at the University of Manchester found that identifying the ideal drug mix can lead to a reduction of symptoms of inflammation in patients. This is just one of the numerous contributions that biotechnology has made in the realm of science. In other universities such as the University of Arizona which made much headway with DNA sequencing and Fragment Analysis since the university fist adopted the program. Now the University is an entity that consists of 6 facilities that offer a range of multidisciplinary experts that have access to a lot of state of the art devices and equipment to work with. This makes the university a leader in the field of Biotechnology as well as other forms of advances in technology. There are many areas that contribute to the use of biotechnology in the world, and at the University of Arizona they have a range of departments that work with various aspects of the field. There Bioinfomatics department deals with activities such as programming and script as well as image processing and data analysis. In addition to this the school also has a Cytometry department that focuses on characterizing various types of cells or particles. Through this emphasis on Biotechnology in this University an d others you can see that this field impacts our world in many different ways. The range of innovations in this field will only continue to increase as the biotechnology grows around the world and this could have far reaching implications for the world as a whole and the lives of the people in it.
