LPEC is scheduled for eight-consecutive evening's and meets from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at ASU-SkySong, 1475 N. Scottsdale Road, 2nd Floor, Scottsdale. The cost to attend LPEC is $400 per participant. Register NOW; Seating is limited!
The Launch Prep Entrepreneurship Course (LPEC) is a program sponsored by APS, City of Avondale, Bryan Cave, City of Chandler, City of Scottsdale, JDA Software, Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, PLC, and McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP.
This is an interactive introduction of basic start-up and management concepts for the first-time innovators and entrepreneurs. The Launch Prep Entrepreneurship Course (LPEC) course covers all aspects of starting, funding and growing early-stage companies. It is facilitated by a seasoned and experienced entrepreneurial CEO, COO or CTO, and includes lectures from guest experts in entrepreneurship, intellectual property, product development, business development, marketing, sales, finance, law and team building. Teams are formed to create a business concept presentation to be given in the last course session to a panel of business experts.

Program
- Eight consecutive 3-hour Tuesday evening sessions from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., for up to 30 entrepreneurs. Teams are formed to create and present their business concepts. A seasoned and experienced entrepreneurial CEO, COO or CTO facilitates the class.
- Participants receive lectures from guest speakers such as ‘been there, done that’ entrepreneurs as well as domain experts in areas of intellectual property (IP), product development, business development, marketing, sales, finance, law and team building.
- Participants study cases, review reference materials, complete homework, practice their business concept presentations and receive feedback on their work.
- Draws upon W.P. Carey School of Business as well as other entrepreneurial center resources for materials and handouts. Participants are given homework and are expected to complete it.
- The course ideally feeds into the Launch Pad Program. Those entrepreneurs with the most promising ideas and success in LPEC may be invited to participate in the Launch Pad program.
