In many universities in the world one thing that some students study extensively is the effects that energy technology has on societies and the environment. In terms of society energy technology affects many things that we do on a normal basis. The technology that goes into the coal plants and hydroelectric dams to give us electricity is something that now many of us feel like we could not go without. Many also may feel like the luxuries that we enjoy here in America are to be taken for granted but the sad fact is that many places in the world do not have the luxuries that we enjoy like running hot water. As energy technology is what is responsible for these luxuries you can see how this impacts the world that we live in so very much. In addition this type of technology may be want brings us towards a cleaner and more sustainable future. In regards to this the use of energy technology in the world today is wide spread in terms of eco friendly options that can help to save the environment but it may not be widespread enough because we continue to use fossil fuels to power our world.

As it is a wide known fact that fossil fuels lead to much devastation in various ecosystems on our planet it is important that we learn to use energy technologies for good and to take innovative steps towards cleaning up our waterways and the environment as a whole. If this is not done in a timely manner it may be too late to save our ecosystem. Many animals are already becoming extinct because of the devastation that humans cause in terms of pollution and other methods that kill these animals and energy technologies may be the way to reverse this trend.
