Mobile Technology

Mobile Technology has made its way into the 21st century with a lot of new developments and gadgets that allow mobile communication. The term is used to describe communication technology on a wireless basis, allowing the movement of two callers which find themselves in a two-way conversation. Mobile Technology has become synonymous with mobile phones and, more recently, smartphones.

Mankind has evolved from a technological point of view mostly in the past century and has made its most impressive feats over no more than two or three decades. Ever since we were first able to launch satellites in space, it has become easier to connect with each other using mobile technology, like cellular communication and the internet. Today, Mobile Technology is something that we are all familiar with because we have a mobile phone which constantly reminds us of our technological evolution.

The mobile phone has its beginnings in radio telephony and World War II. The modern phones of today had their start in the early 1990s and many countries started seeing their first cell phones by the millennium. Some of us remember our first mobile, that giant brick like item with the antenna that we used to communicate with when we were not at home. But as technology advanced, phones got increasingly smaller and more powerful. At first the the mobile phone was used for calling and answering. Soon, messaging was introduced, followed by colored screens. We were also able to play a few simple games on our small screens for entertainment. Year after year the phones started getting smaller and less heavy, the screens bigger, brighter and more colorful. Cameras were added as well as the possibility to access the internet.

Today mobile phones coexist with the brand new smartphones, which are able to do everything a normal cell phone used to do, only better. We have access to videos, pictures, news, social networking, instant messaging abilities and we can do basically anything with our phone. New technologies have permitted phones to be a have all senses that humans have they have touch in form of a touchscreen, they can see with a camera, they know where they are tanks to the GPS, they can hear with a microphone and they can talk with a speaker. this gives us new ways to interact with our phones take the iPhone 4S it comes with an artificial intilligence Engine called Siri which give the phone the ability to talk. If you want to send a message to someone or find the Gas Station Siri is there to help you. But at the end of the day mobile phone are here to stay and our gateway to a new augmented reality.
